The HoggtrottersThe HoggtrottersThe Hoggtrotters

Hope it will be a little warmer this time!
First of all thanks to ALL of you (well 2 of you actually - Dick and Sandie from Canada!!!) who vocally and insistently demanded the return of the Hoggtrotters Blog!! OK - I am persuaded!! I know I didn't quite get around to finishing the last blog - Cook Islands and California are still missing - but I may complete these once Janie and I are underway on The Hoggtrotters, Chapter 2 - Trot On ...!!! Must admit I feel quite frisky since consuming that Findus Lasagne!!

It's been an interesting and nerve wracking last few days to say the least!! We were due to leave dear old 'Blighty' last Tuesday heading for Ho Chi Minh City and the Tet (New Year's Celebrations). Unfortunately, 24 hours before our departure Janie exclaimed 'Aggh!' The 'Aggh' quickly developed into 'Shingles' and we found ourselves grounded. Upon phoning the doctor Janie was informed that she really should think about taking a 'jolly good holiday'! She explained that that was precisely what she was attempting to do!!! Janie now has so many pills to take that we are considering opening up in opposition to Boots! However she is beginning to feel better so we are going to make a dash for it on Tuesday evening (12th Feb) and see if we can make it to HCMC this time! Fingers crossed! We thought that feeling crap in 31 degrees would be slightly better for her than feeling crap in 7 degrees! Incidentally, thanks to all of you who sent 'get well' wishes to the 'Old Trout' she was very grateful!

So watch this space! Hopefully - they're off!

Lots of luck for the journey and so envious of that wonderful heat and sun you are soon going to be enjoying which will be better than the bottles of pills. YES - you do need a holiday so go for it! xx

Good Luck
Hope Janie is feeling better and that you have been able to start your tour. We shall enjoy hearing your news via the blogs, now that I have worked out how they work. It's this technology in retirement that causes me the problems!! Big, BIG hugs to you both. XXX
