Sitting in my Sister in laws in Plymouth having just safely returned Rory (11) and Theo (8) after a weeks holiday with their Aunt Liz and Uncle Alan. Had a great time at a campsite near the tiny hamlet at Hope Cove. We visited Kinsbridge and Salcombe by bus and Ferry and walked for miles out to a couple of beaches at Hope Cove and Thurlstone. The boys ate copious amounts of ice cream etc and seemed to survive a week with us in the van. The dog (Rhubarb) came with us and aslo seemed to enjoy the experience.
Prior to the holiday with the kids we had a day at Mount Edgecombe country park, Nr. Plymouth) where we met up with some friends of Nigel (brother in law) who were on holiday from Madrid where they live so we got some good advice on where to tour in Spain. A few days earlier we had a couple of days at a campsite in Hertford where Liz's mum and dad came over for the day, fortunately the weather was good so we sat outside drinking which seemed to meet the mark with my father in laws requirements.
After Ireland any dry days are greeted with thanks.

Will be sending my kids to psychotherapy to recover from the experience, but otherwise, sounds like they had a good time. Enjoy your trip and will look here for future adventures Nigel
