Well not only did the car give no trouble I got to cornwall in double quick time(14 hours early).Despite the diversion(Romania would you believe) which having sent you on they conveniently decided not to issue further signs and took me 2 hours with the aid of my map to complete, I had managed to bypass the scene of all my troubles last year!Not! After a lengthier road session I ended up at the desired town and confidently proceeded on my way.First feelings of discomfort came with a road stop cafe by an electronic warning statement,that looked exactly the same as where i had eaten with the taximan after securing the replacement tyre!Hoping it was coincidence I drove on until I recognised the next village name and especially the pub right on a rt angle corner.At this ... read more

At the end of October, Jamie and I took a trip back to the UK to see his family. His mum had a very special birthday coming up and we wanted to be there to celebrate with her. And if you're going to go all that way, you may as well make it into a proper holiday! We flew into London, and caught the train straight down to Cornwall to spend some time with Jamie's brother Ben and his girlfriend Shell. They've just bought a house in Truro, and we were very excited to be their guests. They have a lovely pad right down by the river - we were very jealous of their new home! Well, what can i say!? I had an amazing time on this tour and i so badly want to go back and do it all again. Been back a couple of days but literally crashed out as its the first time i had stopped in about 2 months! After Auschwitz we went to Austria where we visited the Palace and it rained so hard it was actually quite funny. We then moved onto the Czech Republic. Germany was interesting as we visited Dresden which was actually nothing like i expected and i really enjoyed it, however the next stop was Berlin. Now i don't really know how to sum up Berlin except to say i found it dull and boring, and like Plymouth, it is literally just a concrete city. Saying that however, once finished with ... read more

Today I completed my first zipwire flight and thought it fantastic.So much so that other times in Eden I'll use it to get down. Also saw the 2nd of my contacts in Eden(spice king) Not sure if I will be able to meet again to see photos of Bulg but if necess will send photos on internet.Completing my visits/friends connections well in conjunction with enjoying freedom of beach owing to unusually sunny weather.Other highlights have been Eden ,royal cornwall show and watching Rachel's(my host)sister in a one -day event.Launceston for tourist trip and jumping show(emily) possibly on Sat weather permitting.One more contact to make and all friends seen at least once!!What a fantastic holiday(despite petrol furoror)(sp?)
