The rain that set in our second day in Zurich followed us on our 2 hour train ride to Luzern (Lucerne). We all were prepared for the wet weather, and even the cold, thankfully but were disappointed that the sunny and warm city that Barb and I had visited a few years ago was cold and dreary for Larry & Lisa. Regardless, we mounted a good walkabout of the sights including the famous covered wooden bridge and a few other historic structures in and about old town, including the fortress walls and towers.

Luzern is famous for cuckoo clocks as well as fine Swiss watches. The 3 story rolling ball clock at the Bucherer store that we saw 3 years ago had sadly been removed as part of their remodeling. These fine jewelry stores are a staple all over Switzerland and ones that we stopped at in every city on our bus tour to collect the souvenir spoons. These stores cater to the affluent Asians that are a large majority of the tourist population here now. I managed to find a Swiss pocket watch this trip 😊

Dining is always fun in Switzerland and we enjoyed some great schnitzel as well as traditional fondue 😊 The prices here in Switzerland are preparing us for what lies ahead in Norway. An average meal is easily $30 and up. We're looking forward to our time in Germany where the food prices are a bit more reasonable. Thanks again goes to Lisa for the photos as my camera acted up again and I lost the photos I shot this round 😞
