We left Geneva bound for Lucerne via Montreaux. We were advised by one of Richards work colleague, Phillip, to take the Golden Pass train through the countryside as it was spectacular and we were not disappointed. We arrived in Montreaux and disembarked for a wander. It was picture perfect, with its colourful yellow or red umbrella awnings along the hotels facing the lake. We caugh a bus to Chatea... Happy Travellers
Hi Richard, Julia and Lisa Loved reading your journal and checking out all the great photos. Obviously, plenty of tourists around - can't believe how much you have done in such a short space of time! You are obviously very good travellers!! We have Kendall's 21st this weekend - so for the first time ever!! We are not going away for the June long weekend!! Can you believe that? Golden pass train
Hi you happy travellers. Glad that you enjoyed the train trip. Montreaux is sure nice, but nice and expensive to stay at. Did you see the statue of Freddy Mercury on the edge of the Lake. I have only 5 weeks to go before I leave for Europe. Can't wait. Hope the weather has been good, bloody cold here in Adelaide ATM and heaps of rain last week-end. Cheers Philip
