Lucerne Switzerland
Foggy and Rainy

Had a nice day shopping, etc. We went to a place called the Flora Gasten and saw a floor show.. an international comedian named Alfredo. On the program also was a young man from Basel who played the xylophone to classical pieces, a family who played the accordion and yodeled and a band from Czechoslovak. We enjoyed the evening
Alps and Dolomite Mts on the way.

Our trip up to the Alps was cancelled due to bad weather. I’m truly sorry for Mother’s sake, however, got a lot of shopping in. Bought the kids all something. Had fun all day. Saw Swiss man blow a long horn and it was so good. Drank wine all day. Tonight, went to Comedy Show. Alfredo & Swiss Yodelers and Chek Band & singer & a queer xylophoner (very good).

They asked a member of audience who liked beer to step forward. No man would, so I volunteered Patty. She chug-a-lugged a pilsner glass - full in four seconds. Boy, is she bombed. Everybody clapped and all was happy except Patty. Was a very good night. (Also Swiss man twirled flag around & blew horn at show).
