We arrive in Zweissiman and I phone our host Katherin's home - a little boy answers and he says that she is at work and that I must phone back in 5 minutes. It's freezing, we're starving and it's getting dark. I phone back and Solomon the little boy gives me his mom's cell number. I phone Kat and...surprise...she is not expecting us till tomorrow cos the last email I sent her said that we were going to spend an extra day in Venice!! Silly silly silly me!!!!Now she is at work and only finishes at 6pm and there is no way to get to her place without a car as they live up in the mountains, so we go into a restuarant and wait there for her as it is way too cold to wait at the train station. In all this panic, I forgot to mention that as we were entering Switzerland, we had our first glimpse of snow, but it was already on the ground-but we were still very excited!! Then as we walked across the road to the restuarant, tiny flakes of snow started falling on us. This cheered Krisel up a bit, but she was still

Some light snow falling shaken up from the 'no ticket' incident on the train and us having to wait for three hours for Kat to pick us up and to add to everything she was starving.
the restuarant only started serving at 6pm so started the search for something to eat...The supermarkets had nothing that we just buy off the shelves like pies or hotdogs. This was Switzerland - health conscious. We tried everywhere in this little town, but nothing. Then Keeran smelt pizza and so we followed the smell and hey presto we found this jolly old guy grilling chicken on a little outdoor sort of stand and it looked delicious. We bought quarter chicken and then went into the supermarket for some rolls, but now we could not sit in the restuarant and eat, so out in the freezing cold we had to find somewhere to eat our chicken and rolls. We sat on a bench outside the train station and gobbled this absolutely delicious chicken. We felt a bit embarresed sitting outside like beggars and eating but the Swiss people are super friendly. They just waved and smiled at us. (We later learned from Kat that eating chicken outside like

as we waited for our friend Kat this was a normal thing) Than Kat arrived full of smiles and so apologetic for making us wait( but she was busy helping deliver a baby and could not leave the hsopital where she worked early)
The house was beautiful, exactly like the houses in Heidi and Solomon and Andy(Kat's husband) just delightful. The girls loved it here and I think our hosts fell in love with the girls too, cos Kat asked us to stay a few extra days if we wanted to, but it was just so cold!!!
