Christmas 2005

Hey everyone,
Ok so Bika got here fine and no major disasters befell us but there were a few interesting moments in each of our travels. For me; I purchased my tickets last week for what i thought was going to be a charter bus service to and from the air port. when i got to the bus stop however there sat a small 10 person van filled to the brim with worried and late travelers arguing in three different languages. The bus driver took the 10 of us that fit,and picked up the bus he was supposed to have used in the first place. Let me tell you, Mr. Toads Wild Ride cant hold a candle to a late Italian bus driver. From there it was pretty smooth sailing just a little traffic to put icing on top of the late cake. when i found Birka at the gate she was a little frazzled but in good spirits. she told me that she had been there for about to hours because her plane landed an hour early. her travles included; almost missing the flight in San Diego, throwing up durring take off and staying in the bathroom because the tolite would not flush. "Maybe its because im not supposed to be in here yet." She told me this was what she was thinking as the barf sat crooked in the bowl because of the tilt of the airplane. She was wrong. the bathroom was broken and she had to tell one of the stewardess' why she had been in there for so long. then she sit on a dirty Italin plane with a creepy guy starring at her, and every other girl that boarded. After this leg she sat in an airport in the middle of Italy hoping someone would come get her. needless to say when we arrived in Lugano she slept for most of the day. we did get out a little that night and looked at the town all dressed up for Christmas. Birka agreed that the town is beautiful especially this time of year. we will definetly have some good pictures to show everyone as soon as i can get Birka out of bed. when we finally did get out Birka though driking from all the public fountains was really cool.

Even though getting your mouth wet in freezing tempuratures loses its apeal rather quickly for most Birka had to finish what she started.

Not the first and probably not my last, here is me with the bad idea of trying to touch a grumpy swan.
