As we had been travelling for about two weeks the chores were pressing and Wendy spent the morning in the laundrette on the campsite while I got the blog up to date including posting 4 days I thought I had already included. It was then off to the supermarket before we drove through Stockholm on its motorway network and headed north to Uppsalla, Sweden’s equivalent of Oxford including the bikes.

After investigating the main city, we moved a few kilometres on to Gamla Uppsalla , the site of the original settlement including three large sixth century royal burial mounds. We had a walk around the site and local church in lovely evening light before staying the night in the car park there.
