My hometown
Oh. You've been to Stockholm, my hometown. It is interesting to read what you as a foreigner think of us and of Stockholm. I need to point out that Stockholm is not pretty in February. Please come back in June or July. It is a totally diffreent city then. /Ake

Stockholm
Tack, Ake ? I thoroughly enjoyed my time in your hometown - what an amazing city with such lovely people! If that is the case, then the summer in Stockholm must be even more incredible! I just loved it, even if in mid-winter!

Centralbadet
Lol, thanks Ake. I think it's often true, one gets to know other places more easily than one's own. I found the Centralbadet a great place to relax after a busy day's sightseeing - I do recommend it ?

Impressive!
Alex, I really enjoyed this blog and am super impressed!! -- with your persistence with overcoming the problems you experienced at the airport; learning Swedish!; your accommodation; even fixed most of your own meals, and did so very economically. You sure were able to cover a lot of Stockholm in a single day! Nice photos too!

Thank you ?
Aw, thank you, that's really kind of you ? I think I got to know myself a little bit more during my time that day at Heathrow Airport. My goodness, it was so worth it - I really did have an amazing time in Sweden, a stunner of a country ?

Happy you made it!
Would have been great to meet up while you were in Sweden. ☺ I agree with Åke though, Stockholm, and Sweden, is not that nice in February. You really should come back here in the summer to see Sweden, and the Swedes, at it's best. ☺

Perseverance..... in flights and language!
I admire your spirit... never give up... stick with it until that cabin door shuts! It paid off as you made it on your flight. Bravo! I know you enjoy studying languages but Swedish. Aren't you something. Your talents never end and the rewards are big. You managed to do and see a great deal in a short time and looks like you've introduced new area to TB locals. ha ha. That is terrific. Eager to read more.

Thank you!
Aw, what a lovely comment, so encouraging - thank you so much, Merry! I feel the flight experience actually taught me quite a bit about myself... And I just love learning languages, it is always a real pleasure, whichever the language :D Indeed, I created a new location on Travel Blog - a sign that one has explored uncharted TB territory :D
