A bull fighting ring We were off to a good start! We had to be gone by 8.15am and we were all on the bus and accounted for by 8.11am so off we went. Unfortunately we hadn't even made it out of the car park before our coach supposedly swiped and Italian's car (I saw it and I still think it was their fault and not ours!) so Alex (our tour bus... no coach driver) and Michele had to spent 45 minutes filling in all sorts of paperwork... it was a couple and the girl was such a Madonna and took her time, she would have felt awkward though seeing 38 of us staring out the window at what was happening!
That was our first delay so we were off again. Next delay was that our coach was pulled over in France (stupid French!) while going through a toll gate and poor Alex was grilled regarding his license and a pile of other stuff. Well that was another good 20-30 minute delay.
We watched another movie (which was a very appropriate one for many) 'The Hangover' and made a few other stops. We visited the Pont du Gard which was stunning and then when we

Pretty view from the castle we had to run up to! made it to Barcelona we were allowed to race in and see the castle at the top of a VERY steep hill... problem was that Alex dropped us off at the bottom of the hill! Racing up a hill in 30 degree heat is not easy! When we made it up we only had 7 minutes so we raced around the castle (it has amazing views of the whole city) then headed for the exit. We caught up to a few others on our way down the hill (which was just as hard as the uphill)... lesson learnt – take your jandles off when going down hill... you can run faster! Eventually we made it to our hostel in Barcelona by about 6pm (we get luxury for 2 nights... yah!) When us girls walked into our room wo took a sniff and relaised how bad we all smelt so it was into the shower for us! For dinner we went to a restaurant. We had a salad and crusty bread waiting for us when we arrived and then had pal... (can't remember what it is called but it is just like a rissoto!) for mains followed by ice-cream.

Can't remember but look at the blue sky! we had all taken up the option to go to a Flaminco show, I was amazed at how fast the lady could move her feet but I didn't think the rest of the show was that amazing – nice experience though.
Each place we go to our Tour leader sets a challenge and the challenge for Barcelona was who could come straight home from being out all night and go straight to breakfast... I didn't even try and after the show went back to our hostel to sleep but Steve went out... until 3am (he wanted to be able to enjoy the following day). I think the winners came home at 11am the following morning... I'm far too old for that! Haha
That was all the exctment for today!
Xx
