Before we start this blog we would like to inform everyone that we realize that we have not written in a while and yes we are both still alive just been busy with life as you will soon find out in later blogs to come. So a few weeks ago we were in Seville Spain living in a hostel right next to “Cathedral de Seville” fitting name seeing as we were in the heart of the city. The Cathedral was one of the most beautiful churches we’ve visited on our entire trip. It was enormous, with an outdoor courtyard and about 10 different rooms for prayer and relaxation. The outside of the building was amazing, great architecture and had detailed statues all around it. The detail on the outside was almost nothing compared to the inside though. Pictures will show more than words but the Cathedral was amazing and definitely worth the 3 Euro to get in. Sevilla was a busy place filled with confusing streets, fast spoken Spanish, and the sound of music and clicking horse feet everywhere. They had regular horse and buggy services that ran from about 7am to 10pm and the horses were not afraid to run
you over so being able to move quickly in a small street was a must.
We walked around the city and found a great shopping area that we visited a few times, purely to drool over all of the great clothes that we had no room for in our bags haha. But it was really fun. When we weren’t shopping we were out walking by the river or visiting the several different gardens in the area that were a great break from the busy city life. We didn’t sleep much here because our hostel was literally located in the middle of everything so people or horses were out at all hours of the night. It was HOT when we were here. 32 C was about the hottest it got which is about 90 F I believe, but everyday was pretty humid and hot like that. We got to go out on the town for a night here after we met a few people in our hostel. We experienced Tapas, which is the famous food of Spain that are small dishes of food shared by everyone. After a few Sangrias and great Tapas we had all gotten to know each other
and had a great night out.
We stumbled into a botanical garden on the other side of the river one day and ended up in an “Eat Pray Love” type of place where the garden stopped and a place for some kind of quiet thinking started. It was a circular building completely encased in about 4 rows of beads that you walked through to reach the inside of the room. I’ll give you a hint, we were definitely not supposed to be there and shortly thereafter left but it was pretty amazing and we did get some cool pictures before we left.
We got to see the Piazza de Espana which is a horse shoe s
