The locals out on a warm Sunday evening....on sand!
We left Barcelona and got into Valencia with even better weather than what we left. It was 28 degrees C, which is like 70-80 F and we were hot walking around the city. Almost forgot it´s February! We went to an art museum and watched the locals play soccer on a hot Sunday afternoon on sand fields. It was a day of walking all around the city and getting supper and late night dessert at outdoor cafes.
The next day we went to a local market and then visited Valencia´s cathedral where authorities say the Holy Grail, the cup Jesus used at the Last Supper, is held. Then we sat at an outdoor cafe and drank fresh fruit smoothies, horchata and took in sun...we actually got sunburnt! Did I say we have the life?? After basking for a couple hours, we walked some more and ate a lunch of paella. Paella is a Spanish rice dish that originated in Valencia so we had the real thing, but were not able to finish! It was different, it had chicken and rabbit and different kinds of beans. We were stuffed! We hung out some more in the city watching the locals

Valencia held life!! We ate at outdoor cafes and watched life pass us by
and then caught a night bus back to Granada.
Though we have only lived in Granada for 6 weeks, it felt good to be ¨home¨! And, our family was so excited to hear all about our trip. Classes begin tomorrow for the University, but I can´t complain...spring break is only a month away! Plus, the weather in Granada is really warming up so it is going to be a great month.
All for now...my dad comes in 3 weeks, we go to Ireland-Wales-London in 4, the Canary Island in 2 months and Portgual in 2 months...then it´s May!! I´ll keep updating. Also, remember to check out my picture website. Keep in touch!! Besos..... jacque
