Have you ever had a love attack? (Translation: An intense feeling of love, affection, admiration) I have been having love attacks for my family this whole trip. It is nice to see my parents in their element- taking walks, hanging out at cafes and staying up late, visiting friends...

I love the schedule in Spain (or is it just vacation schedule?). People really do take siestas (naps) in the middle of the day. Everything shuts down from 2-4 pm. People eat dinner at around 10 or 11 pm. On any given night of the week, the streets and plazas are bustling with people and excitment. Going to bed before 1 am, is quite early. Maybe I was a Spaniard in another life.

Yesterday, everyone headed over to Lavapies, an area of town where my parents used to live 30 years ago. There are many wholesale shops, so we did some shopping and then had Indian food for lunch. After lunch, Pam and I walked over to the Royal Palace and Cathedral.

Later we all went to a live Flamenco performance. It was really beautiful.
