The Team
This is the boys taken after we were bundled out the tournamentThis weekend was the long awaited Las Vacas Locas (translated is means The Mad Cows) tour of Madrid...took the Friday off work and headed to Madrid where we went from a comfortable 20 deg to 35 to 40 deg.......fantastic to feel that hot again......I joined the tour for the final weekend, the guys having already been away for 8 days........and it showed. Sticking to the adage that what happens on the trip stays on the trip I really can't elaborate on specifics. What I can say about Madrid is that it is a great place......we took a city tour in an open top bus and got to see the Real Madrid soccer ground as well as many of the city's buildings etc.
On the Saturday we went to see the MAD COWS play on the Madrid Rugby 7's tournament. Good standard with our guys playing against the Portuguese National Team (who eventually won the tournament), a local Madrid Club Side (who won the Runner's Up Pool) and a couple of other Spanish sides. They did pretty well considering that it was 40 deg and preparation had involved 8 days partying in Bilbao and Santander....they made the quarter finals of the

This is the team in full flight at the party Bronze Plate. That night the tournament after party was huge, It kicked off around 11:00pm and was still going around 6:00am the next morning. The Sunday was spent mulling around Madrid and ended up just relaxing in this huge park they have.......at least there was shade 😊. There are photo's from this weekend....effectively the guys have grouped it together and after some editing have placed a selection of photo's of the weekend on the web.
