Our Weird AND Wonderful Barcelona
We like to do things differently! And so the story is told…
As many of you know, Team America's initial plan was to travel the entire globe before heading back to our beloved homeland. New Zealand, Australia, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, India, Dubai, Turkey, Greece, Egypt, Morocco, Portugal, The Rest of Europe, Back down through Africa, South America, Central America, and last, BUT NOT least, North America.
Well, you know that saying…Your eyes are bigger than your stomach?? In our case (Dawn and I at least), we realized our intention was bigger than our desire! Now, don’t get me wrong, traveling has been, without a doubt, the best experience of my life and I am thankful for every adventure, life lesson, and friendship it has brought my way! But for a girl who generally writes to-do lists EVERY day, likes to say ‘Good Morning’ to her neighbors, and delights in frequenting her local coffee shop…the transient life-style could only last so long. Which brings us here…to Barcelona!
Dawn and I have chosen to stay put here for a few reasons. And before you wonder, where the heck is Roshni…I will tell ya! That girl has a fan club ALL over the world and she
has chosen to continue her tour in order to pay tribute to all these endearing fans! So, before you tip off "People" or "US Weekly" with the biggest non-celebrity gossip of the week...let me state for the record...Team America has definitely NOT broken up; our very own Beyonce (aka Miss Roshni Thakker) is taking her shot at a solo career, and who are we to clip her wings?!?…doesn’t that happen to all the greatest bands in the world!?!
So, why Barcelona for Dawn and I? I'll give you 3 FABULOUS reasons....
One, we're on a mission to learn ESPANOL! Do we still talk like Gringas?…absolutely!….can we really only speak in the present tense?…you betcha!….but does that mean that we can’t improve?…absolutely NOT!…so why not give it a shot, right!?!
Two, this city has what we need…a bustling urban life, the stunning sea, a mountainous backdrop, plenty of culture, fabulous food, and great Spanish wine…what more could two girls ask for?!? If you haven’t yet already, I highly recommend you visit!
And three, we are counting on this down time in Spain to allow us the chance to truly discover and explore what our true passions in
MY GIRL!
Dawn and the Great Pyramid in Giza life are (besides traveling!). It's time to find the answers to the questions everybody is always asking....Do we know what we want to do when we get back to the USA? Not yet. Do we have a better idea than when we left? Yeah, probably. Are there still A LOT more discoveries to be had? Without a doubt! That being said, we are going to utilize this time in Spain to dig a little deeper, research some opportunities, perhaps rule out some others, and learn as much as we possibly can! After all…life without passion is no life at all! True or True?? My buddy Tony Robbins told me once (heehee…ok, not just me, but I think it’s SO true): “Passion is the genesis of genius.”
So thats our story here in Barcelona. We're here to live, love, learn, grow and ultimately have a PHENOMENAL time!
And to mark this new phase in our adventure, I have decided to add a new aspect to my blog. Every now and again, I will be including the E.R.S. of the blog…and I do not mean Emergency Rescue Squad…I mean Exceedingly Remarkable Someone, starting TODAY!
I don’t think you all

Besides taking her precious time to edit ALL my blog entries…she teaches me to be more computer literate, makes me tea in the morning, tickles my toes at night, enlightens me with her constant McGyvering abilities, listens to my babble, offers me advice when I need it, pushes me to think outside the box, awes me with her brilliance, inspires me to excel in everything I do, demonstrates DAILY what genuine friendship is, and showers me with love and compassion ALWAYS.
