4 plane changes and 33 hours later we make it Barcelona ! Ok... So welcome to our little blog where we shall attempt to translate some of the stuff that happens to us in some sort of coherent way.
We have finally made landfall in Barcelona after 30+ hours of travel which bordered between excitement, delirium and excruciating pain! I tell ya either it's my bony old man ass or British Airlines are trying to save on cushion stuffing. Lee was suffering as bad as me so I kinda think it was the latter. And this was Premium Economy FFS!
One of us certainly enjoyed the massive dude in front of us standing to consume his 2 hourly dose of endless self bought broccoli and chicken doing the far too occasional flex and stretch, whilst we stuffed ourselves on what seemed an ever diminishing interval between airplane meals.
After debating wether to go the whole Mile High Club thing solo after a flat no from Leanne I decided against it seeing the dunny was less than salubrious by that time. So Sydney to Changi Singapore to Heathrow London to Barcelona Spain and we were alternating between giggling and fighting. Like masturbating with a cheese grater really... Amusing but ultimately painful.
It really does astonish me how everyone seems to get where they need to be at international airports. Catch this train between T2 and T5, get off at stop A6, go up 1 floor, down two, walk/travelate 3.5 k's and you will be where u need to be. Somehow it works.
So got here stinking and stale but needed supplies for our small but cool apartment. Leelee gets a shower in whilst I had a pommy wash and headed out. Got supplies but had to shelter under a Tapas Bar awning as it deluged down for so long we decided, fuck it might as well go in. Had a decent bottle of red with a Tapas rating of of maybe 2.5/5. Headed home and due to me drinking 3/4 of said Red, and Leanne suffering from sleep deprivation, left her in bed and ventured out to get immediately lost. Anyone that knows me knows I am a demon with a map but no map... Nek Minnit, lost.
Wandered round for a while practicing my less than stellar Spanish, made it back home and with a couple of bourbons under the belt, got creative and put the headphones in and started to write the blog. After only just managing to slip into dreamtime Leanne, quite rightly mind you, starts yelling "what the fuck is that?" whereupon I become aware of the increasing boom boom cymbal crashing cacophany from outside only to look out our third story window to see a fully fledged marching band doin there thang. Ahh kinda likin' this town!
So vague plans to see some amazing Spanish guitarist at a Basilica about 20 meters from our digs that I found out about on my aimless ramblings. Remains to be seen if we get there... And so ends Day 1 Blog. Peace and Love my friends.

sounds like a great start to your adventures in Spain! Not looking forward to our long flight to UK next week, totally agree with the chaos at airports even little old adelaide is confusing, no signs at the lifts in the car park telling you which floor to go too for departures.....arghhhh. Have fun in Spain look forward to reading next blog!
