Bon dia!
Barcelona si! Fantastica!
Well my Spanish is picking up very fast with some hilarious mistakes being made along the way. Like getting lost in town with 5 different sets of directions and also ordering far too much bread with dinner. Barcelona is a fabulous city with wide leafy avenues, restaurants that offer everything (except brocolli) and go all night. The last 2 nights we have been out late in the city eating and sampling some fine red wines. For my birthday on Monday night we enjoyed some tapas and Moet champagne on the balcony of our apartment. mmmm. Fabulous! Today our paper presentation at the conference went really well. The conference is at the Barcelona universitat which was built in the 1400's. What an awe inspiring place. I spent much more time looking at the art in the university church than listening to the speakers today. We have 4 more days in Barcelona and then Grant and I go to Sans Sebastian by train for a few days next Monday.
