Tramp Al
When it's cold in the flat, Alex puts on his tramp gear Sunday 23 March 2008 As we ended up getting home from Tasha's around 7am, we decided we'd have a little kip and try to get back to normal-ish body clock timeage. So I ended up waking at around 1pm, as did Alex altho after eating a bowl of cereal, he went back to bed! And didn't get up until 4pm, lazy bugger. I think I'm probably more concerned about being able to wake up early again because I've got to get up at 7:30am on Tuesday for my Spanish class.
So as you can probably imagine, we didn't do much today. Plus it's super duper dead - firstly because it's a Sunday and secondly because of semana santa. We ended up watching 310 to Yuma which was probably on a par with Three (the film with Kelly Brook & Billy Zane).
Monday 24 March 2008 Last day of semana santa and what a nice sunny day it is too :-) I feel so lucky to be here where the warmth of my heart seems to be radiating to the rest of the city through the intense heat of the sun.... It's actually just warm and not hot (unless you're in
Deli shop olive pate
This better be the best tasting 4 euros I've ever spent... the sun, which I am at the moment on the terrace), I was just trying to make people jealous. Did it work??
Watched The Pursuit of Happyness and Kidulthood, both of which were much better than any of the films we've watched so far. Thank God! I was expecting The Pursuit of Happyness to make me feel really sad for the guy, but I didn't, which I'm a bit worried about - does this mean I'm a heartless bitch now? I didn't feel that moved by Requiem for a Dream either. Hmmm.... Kidulthood, on the other hand, made me feel happy that I wasn't living in London anymore so at least I'm not totally void of feelings. Maybe it's just sympathy/empathy.
Tuesday 25 March 2008 The sunniest day we've had in ages. This time I'm being serious. Got another set of keys cut - finally! So yay :-) Checked out the deli shop, which sells all sorts of imported foods and left with a jar of olive pate. A bottle of Robinsons cordial cost 3.50 euros! We figured if we need any of that stuff, we can get people to bring it out for us - no need to
Alex & G on the terrace
This was supposed to be a nice family themed photo, but instead it looks like an idiot with his carer. wasting that kind of silly money. I can't believe they get away with it. Altho my Spanish teacher told me there's a supermarket that sells Asian foods in Rocafort - but that's not that close for us :-(
Wednesday 26 March 2008 I went for a coffee after the Spanish lesson with the teacher and the Greek guy. We went to a cafe that apparently has really nice Italian coffee, but as I don't drink it, I couldn't verify that. Had a mint tea instead, and left them in there to have lunch with Alex. Unfortunately I'm not used to leaving early so I totally forgot to leave them some money for my tea! Oops. I felt really bad so as soon as I remembered at about 9pm, I sms'd Vasilius and apologised profusely. He wrote back something in Spanish which I probably should've understood. I got “mierde” tho.
Thursday 27 March 2008 Cold day today :-( I ended up wearing 6 layers this morning! It was just me and the hippie woman today, as Vasilius only does 2 days a week. She told me that she needs a good English teacher for her sons, as the state
Nutman on his camel ride
Look at his happy little face schools here don't teach it. They teach in Catalan and have Castillan lessons, but no English - which I found surprising. So she has to send them to private school, as they're the only places where English is taught (aside from the private language schools, of course). But at least it's more affordable here than in London - I don't even think they're that much better in London anyway. Look at Alex and me - I'd rather send my child to a grammar school, methinks.
Had to go to Caprabo AGAIN to buy more food stuffs, which is a bit worrying - seem to be getting through lots.
Alex is excited because his pops is coming tomorrow, so I have to calm him down with sedatives. That was a joke.
Friday 28 March 2008 Since I started eating breakfast, my system has totally regulated - esta increible! But I tried Nestle Fitness & Fruits for the first time this morning and it's waaaaay too sweet for my sensitive taste buds :-(
G landed at 12:30, just in time for lunch - yummy paella :-)
I took Nutman for a camel ride :-D
Saturday 29 March 2008 Alex is upset because he doesn't have any football boots for tomorrow, so he's gone to find some while I listen to One Minute Silence. Yum.
Tasha's birthday lunch at Gavina again for paella. Yum.
