On Thursday we decided to go to Montserrat, an old monastery built into the side of Montserrat (Serated Mountain in Catalan) where the image of The Virgin is reported to have been found in 880. There is still one basilica there, many smaller monasteries, crosses for saints and much more. Also a gorgeous place with funiculars, a rack railway donw, a cable car up and overall a lovely visit.
