uni town

have had a lovely and relaxing few days here in salamanca. off to madrid this arvo for a few more days now. salamanca is a very picturesque university town, with lots of sandstone buildings and cobbled streets (of course, cobbled streets....)
lisbon was a great city too. had heard a few bad things about it before i arrived, but it managed to outdo it's expectations for me. it's quite a sprawling city - so i had to walk lots!! went to a nice castle that overlooks the city and also did a day trip out to sintra. a very quaint little town with lots of palaces and castles!! a very nice day out. had a bit of a crazy night on the last night in lisbon - a friend's birthday. good fun though.
