I am 2 days late on this one as the Internet has been spotty.
Valtuille was a great little town where we had the house to ourselves, cooked a home meal and sat by the fireplace.
The walk to Herrerias was different. On the one side we had a road and some traffic and on the other was a river with its peaceful sounds and birds. Some how we missed our intended path up the hills to a sun filled hill top which was reported to be delightful. Oh well! Missed one path and on another. This path changed about half way to a country road with fallen chestnuts and walnuts. This is a pilgrims meal for sure.
We landed in this little town Herrerias, a one horse town( actually had several horses). It was very quiet. We again were the only ones in this little Pension.
Tragic hit when my iPod quit. It seems their electric system drained the power rather than charging. Through the process we met a nice couple from Venazula now living in Dublin.
Just a note, the nights and mornings are getting very cold. It makes for shorter days.
Tomorrow is a big climb.
