We are now one third of the way to Santiago.342.4 miles to go. At Santo Domingo, they had a festival and a running of the bulls. The whole town was out with a parade thru town carrying the Virgin Mary. Later the bulls ran and young men dodged them. That night the had a feast in the square where they sold sausage sandwiches for one Euro and had free local wine. The next day we hiked to Belorado. It was a blah day mentally but our albergue had only 8 to a room. John said it felt like a resort. Relaxed the rest of that day and did laundry. Had an early dinner and went to bed before 9>30. Got up at 6 and left at 6>30 to get where we are now At San Juan de Ortega. We had to climb over 3 small mountains with total distance 26.8K. Arrived before 1 and checked in, had a beer, and now this blog. Plan to go to Pilgrim Mass tonight at 7. Tomorrow we hike to Burgos a city of 180,000.We may and try to find a hotel as a treat. Physically doing well and miss you all.
