Edit Blog Post
So here I am, tethered to my iPhone's 3G connection at 11:50pm (thankfully the time in tenerife is the same as back home in the UK) deciding what to right in a travel, blog, I think I may already be nearing my 50mb limit, so I may have to make a mosey to receptiom over the next few days to make these uploads, the joy of modern technology 😊
We arrived at Tenerife's south airport yesterday afternoon and were comfortably in our room by 3:30ish... Yesterday was a long one for both me and Maddy, considering we had been awake since the early hours of the morning, the 4:30 alarm to get ourselves to Bristol was not to welcome... We checked-in, in the amazing looking reception of the Marylanza and once we were in the room, I slept... While Maddy watched a bit of TV...
Sometime later after I woke, it turned out that we had had a complementry bottle of champagne delivered, compliments of the the hotel and they wished us the very best on our honeymoon, Maddy and I enjoyed this out on the terrace of our room in the sun. Maddy then
went for her usual afternoon snooze while I read and finished off the champers.
We went down to the reserrant and had dinner, I have never been all inclusive before so this was an experiance for me, the "buffet" style reteruant took a little time to get used to but, the food was amazing, the chill red wine was a bit of a let down, but once it returnd to room temperature it was passable, the free lager was quite nice. To end the evening Maddy and I chill out with some television and sleep.
This morning we had breakfast and like the dinner the previous evening it was lovley again in the buffet style. Once breakfast was done, we haf to meet the reps for a welcome meeting, where we were congratulated once more, and was advised that as we were on our honey moon, and it is my birthday this coming Monday they would "sort something out for us", the Thomson reps, Sarah & Claire, were both really nice and know a fair bit about the island, and even said they would try and get us a propper kettle for our room
so we can enjoy a cup of tea 😊
The rest of the day was spent by the pool, contary to the reviews there were no problems with the sun lungers, yes people reserved them but there were plenty to go round. The Pool (1 of 3) was busy at times with kids but there were times when it was pretty much empty and we even had a little swim to cool off. I got sunburnt and Maddy started to tan nicely... as is the way...
We had lunch by the pool, and then went back to the room where we both slept for a few hours, again dinner tonight was in the returerant, and again we watched some TV and Maddy went to bed... and this is now where I find myself... so not an interesting blog so far... but we decided tomorrow we will start venturing out and seeing what Tenerife has to offer us.
