Volcanic island

We flew from Manchester UK to a small rock in the ocean.

The airport for La Palma is small, we are quickly outside in the sun and the transfer to our hotel takes 5 minutes!

There is a peaceful, isolated feeling here. Just the noise of the waves crashing onto the dark sandy beaches of Los Cancajos our resort for 2weeks. We are by the sea with towering mountains in the distance and we can see the port of Santa Cruz.

The temperature Is very pleasant around 25c. Not bad for November.

Our hotel Hacienda San Jorge has a wonderful garden with lots of different trees and shrubs. This surrounds a lovely swimming pool.

There is also a resident parrot, some ducks and a family of cats!
