Dominique and Maurice
M/S Carousel, Atlantic Ocean Hello my fellow travelers!
This is the sixth and final post I'll do about a trip to the Canary Islands, Morocco and Madeira in 2004. The last post covered my time in La Palma and this one covers my time in Gran Canaria.
The last stop of our Atlantic cruise was at Gran Canaria, it was a short stop and all of us was pretty worn by now me and my mother with the aftermath of the winter flu and my uncle in the early stage of it and my father from basically just having to watch the rest of us.
In Gran Canaria we went to a park which symbolized the continents of the world. It was nice but we were not in form and shape to really enjoy it. I guess this relaxing cruise hasn't really been as relaxing as we had all hoped.
We spent the rest of the day just eating, drinking and enjoying the various forms of entertainment available. I went to a stand up comedy with Maurice and an opera concert with Dominique. Both of them very talented at their crafts, they were also kind enough to pose for a couple

We also said goodbye to all the kind staff that had been tending to us, my strongest memories are of Alan and Nino from the Philippines, my parents favored the ladies cleaning our rooms and their amazing towel folding arts and my uncle favored a lovely Eastern European lady who waited on our standard table. All of them were very nice and kind people and we all gave them some gratuity as we parted ways and we returned to our regular lives away from luxurious cruisers.
It was certainly an experience, but I guess we all kind of agree that no more cruises going forward, it's just not for us.
Until next time I wish you all peace and happy travels!
