San Sebastian, Spain

Looking for waves here, as Biarittz was beautiful but flat! Nada for waves, but the area was spectacular in all regards. Mt Urgull was such a cool hike, with unbelievable views, remnants of a castle, and the great statue of Jesus. Naked bodies on beach made us realize it was time to establish some semblance of an exercise regimen.

San Sebastian is another location known for excellent surf. Flat as a pinche pancake during our stay, but the people were so nice and the weather was beautiful! Spent many days reading at the beach and walking the old town at night. Spanish Tapas are not like the tapas you may eat in California but we loaded up and sampled a little of everything anyway!

The hike up to Mount Urgull was sweaty and worth the effort. The statue of Jesus was incredibly proud and stunning. This coming from two folks who have seen quite a bit of Jesus and statues in Europe (folks aren't afraid of either in these here parts!).
