las calleslas calleslas calles

there are so many little random curving windy streets. there is pretty much no rhyme or reason to the city planning, actually there just was no city planning
so i played frisbee on friday with a team i found on the internet. it was actually about an hour walk up the river and across a bridge but the grafiti by the riverwalk was absolutely stunning, like some of the best i´ve ever seen. so i get there and end up playing frisbee for about 3 hours with 15 natives who speak almost no english. at first i was pretty timid and didn´t try to talk much but everyone was super nice and i got comfortable pretty quickly. my legs are totally shot now because of it but it was an amazing time. the captain, juan carlos, even lent me his extra bike for the ride home which saved me about 35 minutes. it was weird because when i got home i was still speaking in spanish because i hadn´t spoken english for about 4.5 hours. í can´t wait to play next week!

i was able to see the packer game, which is unfortunate. also i didn´t get to sleep untill 5 am since that´s about when it ended and i got a solid 3.5 hours of sleep before class. oh well, that´s why we take siestas. i had my spanish painters class today and there are 3 students in it : laura, michelle, and i. the class was actually pretty interesting, too.

i got some extra time before lunch so i´ll try and get some pictures and videos up. hasta luego!

this is the courtyard of our apartment building. a good place for frisbee but after 930 pm you may or may not get yelled at by people for it being too late and loud if you drop it.

there are orange trees all over the place but they are super sour. a few of my roommates tested them and supposedly pretty horrible. they use this type of oranges for marmalade
