quick update

the rest of valencia was great. i did end up going to the beach - quite queenslandy area. very long, wide, flat beach - no waves still though. doesn't feel like i was had the morning there yesterday as well though!! i got the bus to madrid in the afternoon and stayed there overnight. didn't really see much - just catching up with a few people that are a fair way ahead of me - i go back after portugal. arrived here in granada a little while ago - have just had a quick look around the streets so far. it's so strange- it is absolutely dead. 1 - because it's sunday, and 2 - beacuse it's the middle of the day. apparently siesta is taken to the extreme here - everything closes from about 2-5pm at least. shall try and go to the alhambra palace tomorrow. i tried to get tickets online but they were sold out. looks like i may have a bit of a wait in line!! it'll be worth it though - it's apparently amazing.
