Entry 5

Sorry I haven't updated you all for a while.
I been MUY busy adjusting.

Basically I go to the beach every day.
Getting my tan on... whenever I want... is pretty epic.

Let's see, I miss:
1) Teriyaki chicken and Persian food
2) Old men that don't hit on you
3) Driving everywhere
4) Asian people
5) Spicy Food
6) Hills
7) Cheap (round trip) bus passes
8) Having friends over
9) Beer pong
10) Fam and friends
11) Hip-hop music
12) Hot showers
13) Breakfast food

SPANISH FASHION / STYLE:
1) Mullets. and rattails. No joke.
2) Genie pants, a.k.a. diaper pants... basically regular pants but the crotch is like right above the knees instead of... where it's supposed to be.

FOOD:
Honestly, the food is pretty bland here, good, but Spanish people aren't big on cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes or anything. They like garbanzo beans and potatoes. And they eat funky stuff like blood sausage. Also, they're not big on breakfast. I have been craving some serious omelette / sausage / pancakes, etc.

BOYS:
Basically all the boys in our program are great... all fourteen of them. Most are decent-looking, a few are quite good-looking, and 95%!h(MISSING)ave hilarious personalities. More details later.

RANDOM FACTS:
1) People make their beds here... like everyday. Also, kids don't have curfew.
2) Clubs close at about 7am. And if you go before 2am, they're basically dead. That's why you can get in free before 1:30am. And for the record, no, I have not stayed up until 7am to see the clubs close... yet.
3) McDonalds and Burger King have crossed the ocean, but haven't seen Starbucks since Madrid.
4) People have no shame on the beaches. Thongs and exposed breasts run rampant... even when they shouldn't.

I start university tomorrow. Next weekend is a three-day weekend so some of the Americans are going to try and head out of town, maybe Malaga or Granada. Also, my fellow housemate, a yearlong high school student from Holland, arrived today. She's is pretty cool and speaks English much better than Spanish. It's nice to have someone else around besides myself and the pets. First impression is good.

That's all I can think of for now...
Love you all, thanks for reading 😊
