Today was Día de Los Trabajadores, Labor Day in Spain. So naturally, no one works and no one has school. We decided to relax at the beach in Cadiz for the day. Katie, Mary Ellen, Julie, and I took the bus there. Then we found our way to a nice beach that wasn’t too crowded (probably because it was only 11:15) and layed out to tan. We took a break from the sun to attempt to jump the waves. The water wasn’t as cold as the water in Portugal, but it took Katie, Mary Ellen, and I a little bit to get adjusted before we could stand there without any problems.

After laying out for 5 ½ hours, we decided to get lemon slushy drinks and start walking back for our bus home. We stopped at a monument to the Cortes de Cadiz that we have learned about in my Civilization class. Then we went to the bus station to wait for our bus. We got home, took showers, ate dinner, and hung out before bed.
