When we walked out of our room, we saw that the Easter bunny had left mini chocolate eggs scattered down the hallway (as predicted by Manka). In the restaurant, a central table was filled with traditional special foods: a large knotted Easter bread, dyed and decorated hard-boiled eggs, and swiss-roll-style cakes with poppy seed and walnut-honey filling. The eggy Easter bread tasted rich and fillin... Read Full Entry

Another lovely trip
Your day sounds like the perfect conclusion to a lovely trip. Am I seeing a plexiglass walkway on Butchers Bridge? And that taxi-driver's sense of humour is marvelous.

Butchers Bridge
You have a good eye. Indeed, the Bridge is transparent on the sides, but not where people walk. That is slate or a similar grey stone. And it was a lovely trip, made more lovely by this year's impossibility.

Bringing Back Good Memories
In 2017, we took a tour beginning in Albania and ending in Slovenia. This post and photos brought back some good memories of our short but lovely time in Bled. What magnificent view from the castle down to the lake and surrounding area. Like you, we also visited Bohinj which had some pretty views of it own. Unfortunately the beautiful little church there was closed.
