We are Emma Holmbro and Ake Dahllof. We live in Stockholm, Sweden. We have travelled more or less regularly since the mid 1990-ies and it seems like the more we travel the more difficult it is to decide where to go next. Sibiu

One interesting architectural feature common in Sibiu was windows shaped so they looked just like human eyes.

We don't think the resemblance to human eyes was deliberate. But once you have spotted the shape it actually looks a bit creepy. It almost feels like the buildings are looking at you.

Turda Salt Mine

Turda Salt Mine is a former salt mine which has been turned into a museum cum amusement park. Here is part of the museum section. A system for pulling heavy loads up from the mine using horses as workforce

Stalactites formed when rock salt comes in contact with water and first dissolves and later, when the water evaporates, crystallizes again. Right below these stalactites a section of the mine as shut off for safety reasons in case of these breaks off

Beautiful Bridge of Lies in Sibiu
I like your narrative about exploring around Rumania. I especially like your photo of the Bridge of Lies in Sibiu. It is beautiful in the setting of the old buildings.
