Albufeira BeachAlbufeira BeachAlbufeira Beach

We took this off the jetty in Albufeira. It rained ALL day but the sun peaked through long enough for us to get a good pic!
Hello from Albufeira! We actually can´t believe we made it here. On Tuesday approximately 9 hours before we were due to leave for the airport Liz was tightening the straps on Andreas backpack and a seam decided to explode. Needless to say we started to panic. We spent our last afternoon running around London looking for a new backpack. Thankfully we found one at the store 15 minutes before it closed. We had a tearful goodbye with all our friends in our home in London, caught a bus at 1 am and made it to the airport in time for a good 2 hours of sleep on the cold floor! After an hour delay on the tarmac we finally landed in Porto, Portugal. In Porto we actually got to see some sun! A sight we´ve sorely missed in London. We got a train from Porto to Lisbon and then from Lisbon to Albufeira. The city is really beautiful, unfortunately we woke up this morning to a small hurricane. We braved the rain and by the time we made it to the beach the sun peaked through the clouds. We decided to stay two more nights and we´re not exactly sure where you´ll hear from us next but it will most likely be somewhere in Spain!
Our favorite Portugese words:
Obrigada- Thank you
Desculpe- sorry
Fala Ingles- Please God do you speak ANY English

small hurricanes
I'm not trying to sound like sour grapes or anything, but in Colorado today it was 65, sunny and NO hurricanes, small or otherwise. I should know, I'm the hurricane expert for Co, Wy, Mt, and NM, remember, oh, and now Peter has just appointed me tsunami expert for the same region! One other thing, how bout some pictures? - mom
