One of the reasons we chose the Morello was being a panel van conversion, we felt we could take it practically everywhere we could take a car. Today we put this to the test and it coped admirably.

We started our drive by exploring the Parque Natural de Monteshino one of the remotest areas of Portugal with cobble street villages set in rolling hills. After driving west and lunch at one of the provincial towns, Chaves, we entered the Parque Nacional Da Peneda-Geres which is an altogether more daunting place with steep sided granite mountains through which wander incredible narrow roads with many hairpin bends. The most impressive was from Caldos do Gerés to Campo de Gerés where we are spending the night.
