So after 19 hours of travel we arrived in Lisbon, Portugal...With the amount time on planes and in airport terminals, Elizabeth and I have started to rate each location...So far Sao Paulo is the worst airport I have ever encountered and TAM airlines provided one of the best in flight experience...anywhere that gives you carmel candies on take off gets an instant high rating in my book...Lisbon is an awesome city which was made even more fun by the hostel we stayed in...Traveller´s House...After trekking around with our 50 pound packs we finally found it...We met some awesome people some of which we have made plans to see in various locations....New Zealand and Sydney to be precise...One of the days we went Caiscais which is a small beach town and layed out all day...We are definitely trying to work on our tans (and failing miserably) so we can rival those Brazilian beauties...after that we returned to our hostel for keg night...Super Bock...it´s everywhere in Lisbon...seems to be the beer of choice...following that we went out in Bairro Alto which was an area of tons of little bars...From there we went to Lux...it was a wherehouse converted into a ritzy club...there was a really good DJ playing and I think we poured ourselves into bed around 5am...The next day we got up and did some sightseeing...we took a ton of pictures from the castel with an awesome vantage point of the city...After a ton of walking we headed home and took a nap before going out...everyone is the hostel played drinking games before we went to another area called Santos and then to some other clubs...The food was pretty good...In three days, I had a Kebob each day...Seriously I couldnt get enough...I want to abuse my love of them, so when I do leave I won´t crave them anymore...highly unlikely...Now we are in Barcelona for a few days...Allie and her family are here...So it will be nice to celebrate Elizabeth´s birthday with them...(it´s on October 19)...so tonight we are going out with her brother who is studying abroad here...hope everyone is well...and thank you for all your nice notes and comments...ciao K and E
