Our second day in Lisbon began with an extensive buffet breakfast at the Tivoli Hotel. I've seen many a European hotel breakfast buffet, but this one outdid them all. I ordered an omelet from the omelet staton and enjoyed other selections, including yogurt, sausages, breads, cheeses and even a Pastel de Nata. Aqueduto das Águas Livres. Built in 1731-1748. "The Aqueducto das Aguas Livres, or old aqueduct of Lisbon, 15 1/2 M. in length, was constructed in 1729-49. It supplies the town with the water of the Agtioi Livret from a point near Bellas . The aqueduct, which is partly underground, crosses the valley of the Alcantara at Campolide by a viaduct 1/2 M. long, on the top of which are two stone causeways leading to Bemfica.
