5th April We woke up to a heavy dew & fog which hadn’t been forecast so we had a lie in whilst I wrote up this rubbish. It cleared up by midday so after some hand-washing we decided to walk into town, about 2 miles away. Turns out that it was a bad decision; we had only walked 100 yards from the campsite when 2 big dogs ran out from a garden, one of which bit Cathy on the fleshy part of her hip. Trying to defend ourselves, the same dog bit me too on the hip. Very, very frightening & it could have been so much worse. We eventually & thankfully got away, very, very shaken.
