In dull and showery weather we did the two hour walk to Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock), one of the most well known natural features in Norway. It is a 25m square table of rock with sheer 600m cliffs dropping down on three sides to the Lyesfjord below. A unique sight. The path was very rough most of the way and Wendy found it particularly difficult as we had to share it with hundreds of other walkers.
The early evening was spent driving along an incredibly scenic road which gave us our last view of the western fiords as we commenced our drive eatwards across Norway towards Oslo.
We stopped at the very beautiful small ski station of Roldal where we had the choice of three campsites.
