The most northerly point of the Mageroya island is Knivsjelodden one peninsular round from Nordkapp. It is a 9k walk to get there over rough moorland and along the coast and that is what we did today. The round trip took us 7.5 hours and Wendy found the uneven ground very trying. But it was all worthwhile to get to the true roof of Europe in sunny and bright weather and see the magnificent views. As we arrived back there was a flurry of snow.

Tomorrow we start the long journey southward through the Norwegian Fiords.
