He felt light-headed and his hands were tingly.</li><li style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; list-style: none;">He was drinking plenty of water, but we wanted to get some electrolytes in him, so when the gym around the corner opened at 7 am, I was there, to see if I could buy a sport drink from them.</li><li style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; list-style: none;">

So, after wandering the blocks around our hotel, I find a tabaccheria that was open, and grabbed a Powerade. Not the best, but better than nothing.

Plus, they had the blood orange flavor that he's discovered he likes.

As the picnic breakfast wasn't meant to be delivered until 8:30, and we were hoping to catch an 8:27 train from the Milan Cadorna station, we started the day on Powerade.
<ol class="lr_dct_sf_sens" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px 0px 0px 20px; border: 0px;"><li style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; list-style: none;">We just missed the train, so we had a little time to forage for a bite, while waiting for the next train.</li></ol>
We found 4 seats facing each other, and wrestled our luggage into the space, and took our seats.
I felt bad that we were taking up a couple of extra seats with our luggage, but what else can you do? There really wasn't space in the little racks overhead, for the big bags.

Then a couple came in, and slid their big bags neatly behind the seats, where the backs angled to the backs of the other seats.

Huh. That hadn't occurred to us.

At Malpensa airport, we got checked in, and eventually onto the flight.

I liked business class better.

There's economy, which is one thing.
Economy for a long haul is another.
Economy, long haul, with uncomfortable seats: ugh.

And there's this weird thing:
The aircraft was a 2 - 3 - 2 configuration. We were in the back of the plane, in 2 seats on the outside.

There wasn't anyone in any of the 3 seats in the middle, for the last 3 rows. Huh.
Furthermore, there wasn't any room in the overhead bins over these seats, as they were full of blankets, pillows,. and some big blocky-looking thing.Kinda irritating.

Several hours into the flight, some flight attendants pulled out these blocky things, set about fitting them into the footwells of these seats to make a small couch of sorts, pulled a curtain around the whole section, and crawled in, presumably for a nap.

Picture me, shifting in my uncomfortable seat, trying to find a position that doesn't make my back hurt, as these folks make themselves a couch fort in the sky.

I know the crew needs rest, and that it happens on every long haul flight, but I've never had them snoozing right next to me.

I guess what I'm saying is that I'm going to see about getting a better-paying job, so that I can go business class on all my international flights. 😊
