Today is a Vacation from Vacation

Hi Everyone,

The last four days, although wonderful, have been physically trying. We have been up at 5:30 each morning before we gathered for our tours at 7:30 AM. I am very proud of Nalynn. The last four days she has walked and climbed stairs more than any time since she had her ACL repaired a year and half ago. She did really well even though there were times it was a hard challenge for her.

We are really glad that this is an “at sea” day. Last night the ship left Naples at 6:30 PM and we will be at sea until 12:00 noon tomorrow when we dock in Venice. The sea day is like a vacation from vacation. There are lots of activities available like team trivia, swimming, hot-tubs, the movie theaters, the casino, and lots of shops. There is also a variety of live music almost everywhere. Nalynn has her Kindle electronic book out for reading. For the most part, we are taking it easy today.

Tonight is a “formal night” on the ship. This just means that for dinner tonight, the ladies wear their formal gowns and men wear suits or tuxedos (I am wearing a suit).
