So, we had a really big weekend last week. We had Friday through Tuesday off, which was fantastic. We were supposed to go to Venice, but we are going next weekend, so we didnt have anything planned. Instead we chilled and slept and had a nice, relaxing long weekend. Some people went to Austria and others went to Switzerland; completely jealous. The pics look amazing. Sounds like they had a really great time. We got everything together for our trip to munich for thanksgiving. Im very excited about that trip. It looks like we are staying in a pretty nice hostel and we managed to get seats for the train ride up there instead of a sleeper car. Yeah, we'll see it that was the better choice. I don't think i could take another night packed into a little room. We had like a little movie night at Quinn's house Sat. night. We watched The Usual Suspects and Red Dragon and ate plenty of cheese, grapes, and chocolate. It was fun. They had the movie projected on the wall, which was sweet. I did manage to do some homework this weekend. I have been working on my papers for art and architecture. I really dont want to have to worry about them later on, so im trying to get those done. Although a relaxing weekend, pretty uneventful. Oh, on halloween we did carve a pumpkin, so we were kinda festive. I missed all the free candy. I saw some people dressed up that day, but i think they were all american. All the bars did decorate for the night, but thats the extent of italians celebrating the night. On Thursday for davide's class we went along this main street from the spanish steps stopping at a bunch of sites and ending near termini. I really liked walking out in this area. Ive never been out there just to look around. I really want to go back and spend a day just wandering the area. Yesterday we had a day trip to Caprarola, which is about 2 hours from rome. We went to the Farnase Villa, which was gorgeous. We had to go through the actual building pretty fast, because they were shooting a film on this site, so they didnt want us there for long. Then we walked along this path up to the gardens. They are so pretty and have beautiful fountains. Then we actually saw the crew and cast shooting the film. At first they wouldnt even let us walk up to see, but then they let us but told us not to take pics. Ofcourse, we all did. I want to find out what movie they were shooting. Then we drove to the little town outside of caparola called bagnaia. We first ate lunch in this little piazza and then went to the villa lante. I loved this place. It was so much fun because we got to really enjoy ourselves, walking around, not being pushed along with them throwing a bunch of facts at us. It was really a great visit. Absolutely beautiful fountains and gardens. There were these hollowed out trees, one tree was big enough for anyone to get into; however, there was another tree with a small opening that some of us insisted on trying to get into. Yeah, we spent a long time trying to get into this tree. Many attempts, sadly none successful. Dont worry, there are pics. Then we headed back, went to the chinese restaurant last night which was booming with business. Oh, we also found this place that make

You would have no idea that water came up from the ground. The guy had to turn in on. When we looked at it closer after turning the water off, you couldnt see the holes where the water came from.
pancakes. mmmm, we are so going back tonight. Today we are going to try and find this international food store and buy some hard to find treats. Thats about it for now. Ciao!

This was the director, i assume, telling us we couldnt walk up to see the rest of the gardens because they were shooting. He eventually let us walk up to that point where he stood.
