I started the day at 05:30am with a walk to St Marks Square to capture the sunrise. There were a handful of people out and about, some photographers and some tourist leaving and arriving. The lack of people at this hour of the morning was simply fantastic. No queues, not hustle & bustle and best of all, almost silence. March 2011 - Mark, Pam & Bree, leaving New Zealand for 3 months overseas. Visiting UK, Europe, USA and finishing with a cruise in the Mexican riveria. I love the smell of Venice in the morning....
Your photos are wonderful. I love Venice, especially first thing in the morning, before the crowds take over. Thanks for the reminder! I'll be there this November, and am already excited.
