24 ct inlays...this was the last picture we were allowed to take. We were amazed by the fresco style paintings, which means they had to paint on wet plaster where the actual artwork was going to be displayed. Not so comfortable if you're painting on the ceiling.

The Bridge of Sighs

Built in 1600 as a passageway between Doges Palace & the prison. It took it's name from the sighs of prisoners being lead to trial or beheading. Presently, it's a place for lovers. It's also where Sy Thomas' parents made him take a picture.

All that glass
Well, Michelle when you touched the first piece of glass did it fall to the right and in rotation knock down all the other glass peices on display? I can just picutre you standing with a smile on your face, saying "why is everybody looking at me?" Guess I am really popular. Mom

IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII'm sick and envious!!
Well it looks like the fun has started off swimmingly… Venice, water, the canals… SWIMMINGLY, uuuh I kill myself! Michelle you are going to have to take some of those socks from the clothes line and place them on your hands to protect the Murano glass from your greasy pizza finger tips. Next time I expect to see a little smooching with the Italians! Melinda, I’ll take all your shopping bags as a souvenir! For fun; I plan to drive over to BH and walk down Rodeo with them, so that everyone thinks that I’ve had quite the shopping excursion! Little will they know that those bags are fresh off the boat… even better, mine will be authentic!
