Vienna
The clean side My clothes are wearing out. They have holes in them and the colors are fading away. They don't have the same shape as day one, some stains are unwashable and it gets worst as I wash them. My body's getting tougher after being through the worst winter in Europe since the invention of weather forecast. Scratches and bruises, sore muscles and dry skin makes me really feel this trip. Running after trains and buses in snow and ice storms, looking for places to crash when everything is closed in cold rainy nights and realising North Face can't do much against hails. When you finally find a roof, you never know when hot water will stop during showers if hot water there is. Dorms with their symphonies of snoring, coughing and farting are like nights out with your friends when you drank too much : you really feel tired the next day. The only difference is that you remember every single moments of the night. On top of that, I have pretty much the same budget that I had when I travelled Europe in 2006 so I don't allow myself to spend like Phileas Fogg.
And these were the "easy countries" Vienna
The other side ...
But it is just great!! It is really getting under my skin and I feel like I am getting back to the basics, the simple stuff. In 50 years from now, when I will be consuming my last days, balancing myself on a cracking chair on the porch of my house, trying to remember and thinking about waht I did wrong and what I accomplished during my life, I will certainly think this was one of the best thing I've done. There could not have been a better use for strong legs and healthy heart, fast brain and clear eyes. This is really once in a life time and I try to appreciate every single moments, good or bad.

Donc Viennes!!
Vienna
The clean side again un vrai melting pot.
After useless stays in Graz and Sopron in Hungary (pronounced Sho-pRon in elvish ... what!?), I stayed 3 days in Ljubljana, capital of Slovenia. Totally another vibe here. People and things seemed more real and it is the kind of place that you want to experience more than visiting it. That's what I did as my hostel was in the middle of Metelkova, a collection of old barracks with graffitis and weird sculptures used by squatters after the fall of communism. Since then it is some kind of "Foufounes Electriques" (rock bar in Montreal) neighborhood, with a few bars, concerts places and so on.
Ca me stress un peu...
Love
Nikolas
