LEANING TOWER
Saturday morning we woke up tired from the day in Venice before but excited to go to Pisa! We walked to Café Liberta and ate lots of food and cappuccinos then caught our train to Pisa. Pisa is a beautiful city with a big shopping street and the Arno flowing through it. There was a market that we went to full of artists showing their goods. It had a lot of crafty things like signs, jewelry, leather, and artwork just to name a few. Walking farther into the city we finally reached the leaning tower of Pisa and I have to tell you, it sure is leaning! It looks like it is about to fall over! We took the cliché photos as if we were holding the tower up and then walked around the lawn to the Duomo which is very pretty. I loved this Duomo with its many paintings lining the walls and the sculptures. It was beautiful. I enjoyed going to Pisa to see the Leaning Tower but it really wasn’t that great. All you go to see if the leaning tower and take the picture then leave. It must be annoying for the people who live there to

see so many tourists every day just to take some stupid picture. It is a definite tourist spot. Of course I’m glad that I went but I was happy to go back home to Florence and relax for the rest of the day. We went back to Red Door where they serve the best pizza and then watched a movie. I had a really good and relaxing weekend.
