Leaning tower of Pisa Day 15 : Friday 20 September 2019 : Florence to Pisa to Vernazza Off we head on the train (AUD102 prebooked) to the Cinque Terre with a stop at the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
Getting on the train was the most difficult as we didn’t know if we had to get our tickets validated. Started to worry, but its too easy if you’re tickets are pre purchased. Head back to the train and we’re hungry, quick stop for morning tea, and then we find Maccas. Who would have thought, but yes, we pigged out on Maccas (€15). Missed our train, but caught the next one. You have a 4 hour window to get back on.

You need to see a large version of this photo to realise that the dark building is also on a lean. last unit complex of the main street. Shame there’s no view, but charming little town. Train is 2 minutes away (everything is no more than 5 mins away). We explore, and drink, wine’s getting cheaper, that’s exciting, ok maybe another drink or two. Still great weather and lots of people. Bought the day pass for the Cinque terre hike tomorrow (€30). Tiniest little supermarket, okay maybe deli is a better word. Dinner in.
