The birthday week celebrations commence

It's Monday 21st August and to say we are relaxed is an understatement.

Jim and Claudia arrived yesterday and we were treated to a beautiful dinner at Rendezvous restaurant on the prom. Beautiful food, spaghetti vongole, prawns and a cheese platter and delicious wines from the region. For those who have had dinner with us this is where I Iearnt to make the champagne sorbet.

A day passes and we have been by the pool , off to lunch to Capo Nord ) it really is beautiful seafood) and then tonight to th square for dinner and perhaps a pizza. Great talking to Jim about the film that they are about to start production on"Bohemian Rhapsody", the story of Queen and Freddie Mercury. It is coming out in December 2018.Lots of ego's happening about who is playing who in the film and control of the situation, quite amusing.

The average temperature is about 32 and the warmth is beautiful. Trying to make our mates in Daylesford feel warmer as it appears to be snowing !!!

Last night we went to Rendezvous restaurant and I was presented with Chef's pants and t shirt from the head chef. Such a surprise and a beautiful gesture from them.

The birthday day has arrived and I must say that it has softened the blow of turning 60.

Surrounded by friends, Jim and Claudia and family Sean and Emily , plus my darling of course is wonderful. The weather is superb , the day will look something like this.

Mmmmm, coffee on the front and watch all the beautiful people, lunch at Capo Nord, afternoon by the pool a, then dinner at Scarabocci. Bellisima.

I have received beautiful messages from all my friends so thank you and we will get back to you after the day is done with more antics from Marciana Marina.

Anyway must away to enjoy the day xxx
