Bridge of Florence

Our final stop in Italy was the scenic area of Florence. On the way, we visited a small medievil town called San Remo, renowned for its really old and well preserved architecture, and wines. there was another torture museum too... theyr like everywhere in europe. ill be a torture expert when i get back. then after that, on to Florence, Fiorentina. Muchly, a town that was nice to just walk around, explore and shop in, rather than for its actual historic sights. The quewes for the Academia museum, home of Michaelangelos David were too long, so i had to settle for a replica viewing. Only place i got into was the Duomo cathedral, the fourth biggest in Europe which was still very impressive. The evening was really cool, as everyone got dressed up for a Tuscan dinner. Wine and opera was a welcome change of a cultured meal. Afterwards went on to the space disco nearby, and grooved til late. fun times. i wasnt too sad to see my time in italy come to a close. i LOVED the history and sights there, but the people and lifestyle were far from my thing. its been cool though, as i

Side View of the Duomo Cathedral. you can see how huge it is by the insect sized people at its base. have found myself able to interpret and discuss maybe 30 to 40 percent of the language, and been able to have convos with the locals. even german i can interpret bits and pieces i find.
